Prof.G .K Ananthasuresh

Prof. G. K. Ananthasuresh received the B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India, in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1994. He is currently a Professor and Chair of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge (during 1995–1996), taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (during 1996–2004), and served as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., and the Katholike Univesiteit, Leuven, Belgium. He is on the Editorial Boards of eight journals. He is a coauthor of more than 180 papers in journals and conferences, as well as a textbook, two edited books, and ten book chapters.
Currently he heads the Multidisciplinary and Multi-scale Device and Design Lab (M2D2) [4] at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. His current research interests include compliant mechanisms, kinematics, multidisciplinary design optimization, microsystems technology, micro- and mesoscale manufacturing, protein design, and cellular biomechanics. Dr. Ananthasuresh received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award (1998–2002) in the U.S. and the Swarnajayanthi Fellowship (2007–2012) and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize (2010) in India, as well as seven best paper awards at international and national conferences.

Dr. Medha Rao brings over 37 years of experience of teaching and consulting in medicine.
She serves as the Principal at Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, where she also teaches as a Professor of Internal Medicine.
She has been a member of International Advisory Board and was actively involved in reviews for Davidson's Textbook of Medicine (Edition 20, 21, 22). She has also contributed 2 chapters in the case supplement of Davidson's text related to geriatric issues (Edition 21, 22).
An astute clinician and a passionate teacher, Dr. Rao has a special interest in teaching and research in Geriatrics care, an emerging area of public health relevance in India and most developing countries.

Dr.Pretesh R Kiran has the degrees MBBS, MD, DGM in Community Health, Geriatrics from KIMS and St John's Medical College, Bangalore. He is a Geriatrician and a specialist for Dry Eyes, Reflux Esophagitis, Pneumonitis (Due To Solids Or Liquids) with 17 Years of Experience.
He is currently serving as an Associate Professor at Dept of Community Health, St John's Medical College, Bangalore. He is also serving as a Joint Coordinator- Senior Citizen Health Service, Convener - Disaster Management Unit, Member - Scientific Committee at St John's Research Society. 
He is a Member - Editorial Board, Keeping You in Touch and St John's National Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore
